Krista Hess
Krista Hess’s practice focuses on securities enforcement, securities litigation, and regulatory compliance matters.
Ms. Hess has experience handling a wide range of issues arising from government investigations, including proceedings involving the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), Office of the Special Inspector General for the Troubled Asset Relief Program (SIGTARP), Congress, and the Department of Justice (DOJ). She has also assisted with corporate internal investigations and provided legal counsel to the independent directors of registered investment companies.
Prior to attending law school, Ms. Hess graduated summa cum laude from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management and Business Management. She went on to graduate cum laude in 2015 from Georgetown University Law Center, where she was a member of the Barrister’s Council Trial Advocacy Division and the D.C. Law Students in Court clinical program. Before joining Bruch Hanna, Krista was a Financial Markets and Products associate at the Washington, D.C. office of a national law firm. She is a member of both the American Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association.
